ABOUT
A Student's Dream
Established in 2024, The Hearth Student's Journal (THSJ) is an initiative by Bui Thien Khiem, a high schooler from The American School in Ho Chi Minh, and his team. Inspired by the passion for writing and research he saw at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth and his difficulties in trying to get a paper published, he set out to give high schoolers an outlet for their academic passions.

THSJ is an international, interdisciplinary, highly selective English journal that accepts submissions from all fields. We believe everyone who loves learning deserves a chance to have their voice heard. Our journal, from the editors to the designer to, most importantly, our writers, are students.
